Wonder Woman, San Jose by AdamHughes Wonder Woman, San Jose by AdamHughes
Wonder Woman convention sketch, done at SuperCon in San Jose this past weekend. As always, messing around with slightly different ways of drawing the Princess of the Amazons.

Pencil, Pitt pen, and gray Copic marker on 11 X 14 Bristol Drawing paper.

I love this sketch! Very attractive, love the shape and muscle definition you've given her. Excellent.

How you draw Wonder Woman is how I see her in my head. I like how she always has muscles when you draw her. It's something lacking in almost all the portrayals of her, and it really irritates me. (She's suppose to be a Warrior Princess, gosh darn it! Give the girl some muscle!) I also like how you make a woman who is broad shoulder and, well, intimidating still look good. :)

Putting in my two cents:
The gold emblem on her chest needs to be an eagle, not the letter W. Greeks would have symbols or animals on their shields.

Nice drawing especially like your line work....... just looking at it without reading your description, I'd think you would have drawn it on computer using a "Pen Tool" in an illustration program to make a "Line-Art" Vector image.

Love it. Loincloth looks great.Love the little touch of her holding the scroll. You draw a really wonderful, regal Diana.(cough cough unlike certain artists who draw very generic ones of women who just seem to change wigs);)

Always loved your covers of her. Are you still doing ALL STAR? Please say yes.

I think it's one of my favorite WW from you... and from anyone else actually.
I surpisingly am particularly fond of her stomach area for some reason.

Out of curiosity, how long does one sketch like this take you?

Oooh I like this one! It's quite different, and interesting. I always love seeing how different artists portray Diana! Though I'm pretty Biased towards Terry Dodson's artwork (since that's what I based my costume off!).

It's really cool that you do these sketches at Cons! Any chance you'll come to Australia any time soon?
