UNCHARTED Variant Cover 1by ~AdamHughes

Media: Media: Pencil, PITT Pen and COPIC marker on Strathmore Drawing paper, then colored with Adobe Photoshop CS2.

Here's my UNCHARTED cover, done for SONY as a giveaway poster at San Diego Comic-Con 2011, and then used as a variant cover for DC Comics' UNCHARTED comic last month. The Drake face is different than the poster version: I redid it because I didn't think I came close to the way Drake looks in the game. This is a little closer, but it usually takes me 5 to 7 attempts before I get close to a character.

I love the UNCHARTED games. This cover was designed as an homage to Drew Struzan's INDIANA JONES movie posters. Imagine my surprise when Drew himself was standing at my table at San Diego, saying hi and thumbing through my portfolio...

sir i must say that your are one of my greatest inspirations. Just the fact of how much catwoman you have created is enough to make me want to do better. And then i saw this. Uncharted has been one of my favorite seris since it came out and you just made it that mutch more awesome. so i thank you for this and keep on drawing so that i may become even more inspired by your great works!

I just recently finished the first Uncharted game and now playing the second one. This is such a great game , I just love it! And I think your art if fantastic xD it definitely gives that "uncharted feeling" .. lol Indiana Jones and lara Croft xD

This piece of art alone inspired me to research Uncharted, buy the comics, fall in love with them, buy the novel, and then buy and beat all three games.
