Another piece from Adam's upcoming sketchbook. The amazing thing, I think, about this piece is that there is no real color used. Adam rendered this one with both warm and cool gray scale markers. Together, they read like desaturated color.
This is Awesome
LOVE ITLOVE ITLOVE ITLOVE IT
Now, THIS is Storm!!
Gorgeous work!! Gray goes a long way
You do all artists a great service by showing us what we all could be. Keep being awesome.

You should draw her more often.
Like a true goddess. One of the best Storms I ever saw.
Adam hugues is one of my best inspirators...he knows the human body like no other one
Great piece I love seeing Black characters mainly cause you just never see them enough, what Marker combination did you use to acheive this skin tOne, I the info says a gray scale?
It's two sets of gray markers - one warm grey, the other cool.

Storm's first costume will always be my fav!!
LOVE Cockrum's truly classic Storm costume, and it's looking fantastic here. with a bullet!
I love the nose and lips. It makes her stand out as an African Woman. Great job with the color work too!
Absolutely faultless. Incredible work.
exactly the sort of threatening presence I always imagined Storm would be
holy Shnikies!all grays.....amazing work sir!
I don't think I've ever seen a better illustration of Storm. She is exotic, beautiful, powerful, and intimidating all at the same time. And the use of the classic costume and headpiece, masterful!
How,how, how, how, HOW did Adam manage to make that shine effect on her costume?
I just didn't use markers where I wanted the shiny bits to be.
Makes sense, Thanks for getting back to me. Yet some how when i do it it just looks unfinished.....One more cheeky question, honest; what's the best way to bump up your visual library? See I'm rubbish at buildings, I've been working on a comic set in space and I wanted to have a really clear idea of all the background stuff, eating impliments, vehicles, clothing and fashion and I want each world to have it's own distinctive style. I've seen other artists do something similar but without being quite as... obsessive.
Cheers for your help,
