Client: Convention Sketch/Private Commission Media: Pencil, PITT Pen, COPIC Marker, white paint, and Berol Prismacolor colored pencil on 11" X 14" Strathmore Drawing paper
A convention sketch done at MidOhioCon, a weekend or two ago. Another example of me damaging the Disney Princesses. If this bothers you, don't look at my Tinkerbell: [link]
I added Max The Sheepdog because, well, I have Sheepdogs. And they are fun to draw. Someone asked me about the Sheepdog at the con, and I said "Yeah, it was weird. Someone asked for a sketch of a Sheepdog; I threw in the Little Mermaid for fun." I don't think they understood that I was kidding.
Yeah, about that Disney thing... they are such a self-important corporate giant, they're just begging for someone to make fun of them. Really. They know that. (Marvel and DC are a lot more humble, really, and yes, I know Marvel is owned by Dis.) Also- Dis didn't invent the little Mermaid. Or Tinkerbell. Or Pinocchio. They don't own them, either. You know that. You can just say 'I had no Idea that it looks a little like Disney'. They couldn't do a damn thing to you. If it were me, Ariel would be sneaking a cigarette, and using like a Zippo lighter. Or maybe... as a zombie. Or smoking a pipe.
I want that dog so much, I'm not being derogatory either- I'm talking about the Sheepdog. I've only come across your work tonight and I'm already in love with your style, I'm quite a fan of Muchas' work and with your own flair of personality, creativity and 'flirtiness' you're definitely making my top 5 list of artists.
