Rough Sunday, Part 2.

These are all the badges I designed for HeroesCon 2006. Each image was used as a different badge (guest, press, art show).

Not having a ton of time, I decided to go for a looser style of lineart, probably influenced by my love of Kyle Baker's work.

Each piece took about 4 hours (except the Metropolis skyline, which took a little longer; damned perspective). Pen & ink on illustration board, then colored in Photoshop.

They're all beautifully done as always, but the little portrait of Superman especially caught my eye. It seems so soulful to me.

Lovely pieces. I agree with 1nch and would've gone just to get a badge. The panels that caught my eye are Supergirl, who looks wistful yet happy, and the mad scientist version of Lex Luthor. Wonder what's cooking in his "pot" in the background, or should I say whom? :evillaugh:
