I thought that was copics.

Curious: when you are sketching to you envision the figure first or the shape of the character?

The shape, I guess!

I thought so. I constantly try to emulate that with my images but I guess I just need to work on my proportions and anatomy more.

Thanks!

Work on your anatomy & proportions; I only recommend 'drawing the shape' if you've got a fairly seasoned sense of those two aspects of figure-drawing.

Great pose. Is the grey-ish skin a comment on how many times she's died? lol. I'm just giving you sh*t my friend - good stuff. :)

I love the combination of grayscale tones for the flesh and color for the rest. I did something similar for a showgirl piece I did for a local exhibition. Gives a sort of weird-but-cool metallic-skin feeling to it!

You know what I just noticed?
Our signatures are pretty close (because our initials are the same) haha
I like the exclamation mark at the end of yours =D

... Thought that I would put that out there. =P

Do you ever get presented with sketches that you just don't remember doing, and not because of any alcohol-induced haze? Oh, and Jess is on DA now.

i really wasn't a big fan of the movie. seeing the pink ranger star as the femme fatale assassin was unconvincing to me.

Jeez how drunk were you? first small boobs, now zombie women?

Seriously though that grey skin makes her look like a zombie, I mean it's one thing to worry about the undead, but an you gave her sais.... that's just unfair!

You've gotten a lot better with markers. Or maybe you spend more time on your sketches now.

I like how the greys and red are placed on this picture. It works great !
