I love it. Oh my goodness. Is this where the bodies where stored in the black death? <3

No. These are mined-out limestone and gypsum quarries that were filled with the dis-interred remains of tens of thousands of French when the cemeteries of Paris became too full.

I would have thought you were in Egypt instead of the Parisian catacombs. The setting reminds me of an ancient Egyptian palace. :)

When I first saw this, I thought you were implying this was your current place of residence. To think, SUCH AN EPIC COMIC BOOK ARTIST LIVING IN THE CATACOMBS. It makes for an epic story, even if it is a little far-fetched. xD

I heard about the tunnels and SOCIETIES that lived underground in Rome! I didn't know about Paris! Now I have 2 reason to want to go. First is, of course, Alguem.

I was in the catacombs last week when I was in Paris. Adam, I think your description of them is pretty succinct and accurate. I will also add that the care and artistry displayed by the people who stacked the bones is quite remarkable.

What you're standing underneath, does that say
"C'est ici l'empire de la mort"?
That's kinda creepy, ain't it?
Here is the empire of death.
I wish I'd gone to the Catacombs when I went to Paris. I shoulda gone again, but luck run out. (That and money.)

D'oh! Now I have to answer.

Hmm.... let's see. How about Clive Owen, working in some lonely artist's garret on some wind-swept coast?

You really put me on the spot, Mr. Hughes. And surprised the crap out of me by replying. I can't say where or when I first became aware of your artwork, but I have been blown away by it ever since. Thanks for sharing it with the world. And thanks for replying to my comment.
