Artist's Comments

Today's deviation is the line art to my CATWOMAN 64 cover. Pencil & ink on Strathmore 300 board, cold-press, probably about 12" X 18". I ink with a Scharff no. 4 watercolor brush, and do all the hatching and techinical stuff with a Rapidograph technical pen.

I'll post the color version next. I added thinsg like the snow in the coloring stage, and threw in a few bats because I thought it added some action to a static shot.

I was shooting for a sense of altitude and freezing cold in this one. Nothing special, just a pin-up.

I didn't realize there was so much hatch work in this piece. I've never seen one of your drawings done this way.
...And thanks for all of the technical info on how you did this piece. I have to get my hands on that brush now.
