This is a fun variation.

When I was doing the flames on the Black Queen litho, I had the background on one Layer, Jean on a second, and I was doing the flame highlights on a third.

For no good reason, I turned the Jean Grey Layer invisible, and was interested to see that the highlights still described her shape. I filled in the Jean Grey Layer with black, and it made for a really neat-looking silhouette.

Sideshow liked it, and used it as a teaser image. I'm including it as a neat little oddity.

Oddly, I like this every bit as much as the other illustrations. Maybe better, because it goes against type and really sets a mood...

You know Mr. Hughes I will keep ordering them as long as you keep drawing em. Looking forward to the statue.

Only thing that gave this away was when you saved the jpg. on Sideshow it saved as blackqueen.jpg.
