I'd love to get large resolution shots of your work. I'm trying to put together a coloring portfolio [I don't slave over pencils anymore]... besides, I can't keep up with your skills on the illustration side of things anyway. I'd be happy if I could handle drapery the way you do.
BTW, we met several years ago at a con. You provided me with one of your sketchbooks and a damn good critique. I worked on the things you told me to and POOF! I got work!

thanks for sharing both the ink and colored versions. the title and the art itself tells the story in an instant. i too submitted a piece (ryu) for the SFT book as a fan art (not pro), but unfortunately it did not make the cut.
Great rendition of Li. Great to know you are in the book. I try am amazed with the background...as a stuggling artist how would you advise to draw backgrounds? Pictures I'm sure but what is the process you take in making your backgrounds...is it flushed out more in the inking stage or do you use tight pencils? Thanks for coming to DA.
